Dosaging CBD oil can be tricky, especially if you’re a beginner or just want to try CBD. The fact that there is no standard dosage makes it even harder. Every person is different and therefore reacts differently to CBD oil. The perfect dosage varies from person to person. We understand this can cause confusion.
However, it is possible to find the right personal dosage. Below we give tips to make dosing easier for you. If you follow these tips, the right dosage will be within reach.
When you first start using CBD oil, it’s important to know that CBD has a build-up period. It can take up to fourteen days for the CBD to fully integrate into your body. So, if you don’t notice anything after a week, it may be that the CBD hasn’t built up enough yet.
During the build-up period, it’s wise to start with a low dosage. We recommend taking 1-2 drops in the morning and 1-2 drops in the evening. Pay attention to how this affects you.
If after two weeks you notice no difference, you can consider increasing the dosage.
Once the build-up period is behind you, you can look for the right dosage for you. You can do this by gradually increasing or decreasing, until you achieve the desired effect. If after the build-up period you still don’t notice a difference, it’s best to add an extra dosage in the afternoon.
You can then take 1-2 drops three times a day—in the morning, afternoon, and evening. If after a few days you notice no difference, feel free to further increase the dosage. For example, take 3-4 drops three times a day. To assess what this increase or decrease does to you, you should take this new dosage for a few days before adjusting it again.
If you keep experimenting this way and gradually increase the dosage, you will eventually find the point where you reach the right dosage.
If you’ve built up too much and noticed that a lower dosage works better, it’s time to reduce the dosage to that level.
When you want to find the right CBD dosage, it’s very important to listen closely to your body. Pay attention to the signals your body gives about the dose of CBD oil it’s receiving.
It’s not always easy to listen to your body. Often we ignore the signals or attribute certain signals to other factors.
To gain more insight, it might be helpful to request the Happy Logbook to track how you feel. Think about whether it might be related to the CBD oil. Or could there be another cause? If you track this briefly every day in the Happy Logbook, you will start noticing certain developments over time and gain more insight into your situation.
This is especially important to avoid taking too much CBD. This is not dangerous with CBD, but since CBD is a valuable ingredient, it can become expensive. Additionally, it’s possible that with an overdose, you might not get as much benefit from the product.
